jenna von oÿ rose to fame in the 1990s with her iconic role as the quirky, yet lovable Six LeMeure on the popular television show, Blossom. The show portrayed the life of a teenage girl growing up in America and all of the struggles associated with simultaneously being a teenager and an adult.
Von Oÿ's character, Six, provided an effervescent, funny, and smart balance to her best friend and protagonist, Blossom Russo, played by Mayim Bialik. Six was often seen as a leader and a brave confidant within the group of friends who surrounded Blossom. Throughout the show's five season run, viewers got to see the character of Six overcome many of the struggles of growing up, including the stress of college acceptance papers and boyfriend troubles along the way.
Audiences of all ages related to the story line and characters of the show, and Jenna von Oÿ's performance as Six strongly stood out amongst the already amazing cast members. Blossom was a critical success and was awarded three Image Awards and one Young Artist Award during its long run. In addition to her role in Blossom, von Oÿ has gone on to appear in both television shows and movies with other major success.
